Lightfoot’s funeral yesterday was attended by approximately 50 close friends and family members. It was described as a modest and private event. On Sunday, however, local fans were given the opportunity to pay their condolences at a public viewing.

It was a truly heartwarming sight when Taurus, the beloved dog, cuddled up next to the late musician. The people present couldn’t help but be moved by this touching moment.

Victoria Lord, a longtime spokesperson for Lightfoot, mentioned that Taurus is part of the tour staff and that the two became close during their travels.

Victoria Lord shared with Newsner that she used to accompany him on the road and wait for Gordon by the side of the stage. Gordon had a great fondness for dogs.

It’s quite common for dogs to rest close to the graves or caskets of their departed family members, creating a poignant and heartfelt tribute. Dogs remain loyal till the very end.
