Amber Luke, famously known as the ‘Dragon Girl’ for her extensive body tattoos, recently went through a second eyeball tattoo procedure. This brave Australian woman, who has 98% of her body adorned with stunning tattoos, had previously experienced blindness for three weeks after her first attempt at getting her eyes tattooed. Despite the challenges, Amber has no regrets and is determined to reclaim what is rightfully hers.
On May 18th, 29-year-old Amber traveled all the way from Australia to São Paulo, Brazil, to undergo another eyeball tattoo session. With the assistance of tattoo artist Gattoo Moreno, she successfully achieved her desired result of having blue and black sclera – the white part of the eyeballs. This time, Amber took every precaution to avoid complications or any loss of sight.
In an interview with What’sTheJam, Amber shared her motivation behind getting her eyes tattooed for the second time. She said, “For me, it was about taking back what’s mine and was supposed to be mine in the first place. I felt robbed and like I didn’t deserve a proper procedure. But I do deserve to have my moment, where I open my eyes and see true beauty.” Seeing her newly tattooed eyes fills her with happiness and appreciation, as it represents what it should have been from the start.
Amber prioritized her safety during the procedure. After her previous experience, she consulted with optometrists who confirmed that her initial eyeball tattoo was poorly done. Determined to avoid any further complications, Amber chose vegan ink and ensured she remained still throughout the 20-minute procedure. With great care, she successfully completed the process without any signs of scar tissue.
While the first procedure was described as the most excruciating pain Amber had ever experienced, the second time was painless. She believes that this was how it was supposed to be and expresses her gratitude towards her body modification artist for guiding her throughout this transformative journey. Finally, after seven years, Amber feels that she has achieved what she truly deserved.

Despite the risks and challenges, she remains committed to embracing her unique appearance.
