Most of us know David Archuleta from American Idol. He was a fan favorite, and he even reached the finals of the show, but unfortunately, he lost it to David Cook. He hadn’t really been active in recent years, but this amazing young man is back again. You are going to be awestruck when you hear his latest Christmas release.
Archuleta, along with Nathan Pacheco has created a touching version of “The Prayer.” David says, “More than 2,000 years ago, God sent Jesus Christ, our Savior. In celebration of the Christmas season, Nathan and I recorded The Prayer”. Their voices blend perfectly, and hearing them harmonize together is a gift to hear.
One commenter perfectly encapsulated this video saying, “I know this song was a created, at least in part, as a collaborative and collective genius of David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, and the phenomenal Celine Dion; but this rendition, in both its apparent arranged simplicity (2 voices, a piano, and the cello) is absolute perfection. I cannot take anything away from the original, but this version also calms the turbulence in my soul and massages my warrior’s heart. It is brilliant!”
You will have goosebumps from the moment David starts singing. The accompanying piano and cello, and the stunning setting, all add a sense of comfort and tradition while David and Nathan perform flawlessly. You are sure to enjoy.
