He Was Trying To Record The Monsoon On His Camera. But What His Camera Caught Instead…

I am sure you have heard of “rain bomb” before. If you haven’t, prepare to be amazed. This time-lapse video features a hair-raising event that will take your breath away. Brian Snyder set up his camera on a nearby mountainside in Tuscon, Arizona just before a huge storm was about to roll through. But his camera caught more than what he had bargained for.

Brian thought he would get footage of the city getting pummeled by a monsoon, but he soon realized that his camera had recorded a rare “wet microburst” or “rain bomb” soaking Tuscon instead. Wet microburst occurs when a cooled column of air sinks rapidly through the middle of a thunder storm. The unique storm phenomenon affects an area of no more than two and a half miles and can generate winds of over 150 mph.
