Hilarious Design Fails That’ll Make You Say “What Were They Thinking?!”

We live in a world with various people who don’t see things the same way. Sometimes, you look at something and think, “That is pure genius!” Other times, you want to scream out loud, “What were they thinking?!” Today, we’re taking a look at some of those things that make us do a double-take and scream that question. You might call them design fails. You might shake your head and sigh in resignation.

1. Really? Couldn’t You Find Orange Or Bright Yellow?

2. This Is Not An Effective Way To Test Spelling

3. You Know They’re Hiding Somewhere Nearby

The barely visible yellow line and the edge of the stop sign are a trap waiting to be sprung. We’re wondering where the police are hiding because you know they are close!

4. You Can See This Design Fail In Her Eyes

A poorly thought-out bus skin moves the eyes of the model when the bus windows are open.

Whoever came up with this design fail had no idea that windows on a bus could open. We’re sure the model is beautiful, but she appears a little discombobulated at the moment.

5. This Could Be A Helpful Warning… Or An Ominous One

A sign telling people not to exceed 20 children.

If you’ve been to Europe, you will recognize this as a speed limit sign. We’re not so sure about the warning on the bottom, though.

6. While We’re Thinking About The Children

A design fail sign proclaiming that people are eating children and to leash your dog.

Why are people eating children? Have these people ever heard of spacing and punctuation?

7. Is This A Design Fail Or A Sign Of Zero Confidence?

The front entrance of The Sliding Door Company and they aren't even using their own product.

Why doesn’t The Sliding Door Company have sliding doors?

8. Where Do We Even Begin With This One?

This design fail shows a seating area/presentation space with a toilet in the front of the room.

For those super long training sessions? They could at least provide a curtain.

9. Motivational Yoga Mat?

A motivation yoga mat that says "Nothing is Possible" because the font blends into the background design making the letters "IM" invisible.

This motivational yoga mat isn’t. The concept was good, but the choice of font colors against this background is a total wash.

10. This Graphic Design Idea Stinks

A sign for a business that makes it look like the business name is Fashion Fart.

What piece on design fails would be complete without the obligatory fart joke? Hopefully, the Fashion Art company didn’t pay a fortune for this stinky masterpiece!
