Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett Johansson is an American and Danish actor whose films have grossed over $14.3 billion. Born on November 22, 1984, in New York City, Johansson started her career as a child actor, appearing in an off-Broadway production in addition to films such as “North,” “Manny & Lo,” “The Horse Whisperer” and “Ghost World.” She broke out with her role opposite Bill Murray in 2003’s “Lost in Translation,” for which she won a BAFTA Award for Best Actress. Her star continued to rise with other appearances in movies such as “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” “A Love Song for Bobby Long,” and “Match Point,” and her performance as Black Widow in eight movies within the Marvel Cinematic Universe only increased her global profile. She appeared in “Iron Man 2,” “The Avengers,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Captain Marvel,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Black Widow.” She also starred in “Her,” “Under the Skin,” and “Lucy.”

Johansson received Academy Award nominations for two separate performances in 2019: one for her work in Noah Baumbach’s “Marriage Story” opposite Adam Driver, and another for her work in Taika Waititi’s “Jojo Rabbit.” Johansson has also won a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress for her appearance in “A View from the Bridge” on Broadway in 2010. She was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds and businessman Romain Dauriac, with whom she has a daughter. She is currently married to SNL writer and co-host Colin Jost, with whom she has a son.
