Dad shaves daughter’s head after she’s caught bullying cancer-stricken classmate.

No matter how much we want to believe our children are flawless, the harsh reality is that none of them are.

Now, I’m not implying that most parents aren’t fulfilling their responsibilities – quite the opposite – it’s just that childhood is a challenging journey of learning, where almost everyone will make mistakes that they will later reflect on and feel remorseful about.

Maybe the most important thing when things like this happen is not what actually happened, but how the child learns from it and moves forward.

Introducing punishment early teaches kids a lesson when they do something wrong, making them face the consequences of their actions. This helps them understand and hopefully not repeat the same mistake.

Certainly, punishments can differ in severity, ranging from a symbolic reprimand to techniques that the misbehaving youngster is unlikely to erase from memory.

Regardless, a father’s decision for his daughter falls into the second category. The daughter was teasing a classmate at school who had lost her hair due to chemotherapy. When the father discovered this, he was definitely not happy.

He made a choice to prevent her from doing it again. He shaved her head completely, so she could understand how it feels to be in her victim’s position.

His way of criticizing has received a lot of negative feedback online, but he remains unfazed. In fact, he mentioned to CafeMom that he believes it was an appropriate response.

He mentioned to CafeMom that his daughter is in a relationship with the ex-boyfriend of the other girl, adding to the drama that unfolded.

“They were having an argument in class about stupid teenage gossip regarding my daughter’s boyfriend. At some point the other girl mentioned how my daughter’s boyfriend was just using her for sex (this was actually a big shock to me as I had no idea she was sexually active) and called my daughter a slut.
