Stacy Westfall has an incredible ability with horses. It’s a talent that has earned her multiple reining championship titles as well. Yes, that’s right; she’s a reigning reining champion. But what is even more amazing is the fact that she can ride and dance with her horse – bridleless.
Stacy’s bridleless and bareback techniques make her performances unique and captivating. Take, for example, the routine featured below, which completely took our breath away. It’s as dramatic as ballet and just as seemingly unattainable to the average person.
Sometimes it’s so wonderful to relax and bathe in the beauty and elegance of another person’s talent. Stacy Westfall and her horse, Vaquero, won the 2011 All American Quarter Horse Congress Freestyle with the highest score that has ever been achieved. This, in itself, would be enough of an achievement for other riders. But Westfall’s love of riding and horses takes her to another dimension.
She began riding at the age of six, and that’s when she noticed that she had a talent for training horses. She graduated from the University of Findlay with a degree in equestrian studies and then began a successful horse training career. We are guessing that there must be an awful lot of whispering involved. Watch this unique performance below.
