Neighbors Furious Over Who Is Building Taxpayer-Funded Wall Around His Home For “Security”

President Biden’s wall saga takes a surprising turn as construction on his taxpayer-funded fortress around his Delaware vacation home kicks into high gear, all while he maintains a strong stance against border walls on the southern U.S. border.

Exclusive photos obtained by Fox News showcase the recent commencement of construction on the wall surrounding Biden’s Rehoboth Beach residence. The bill for this security measure? A whopping $490,324, courtesy of taxpayers and a government contract via the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The visuals reveal the ongoing installation of imposing white fencing and robust gray stone pillars along the side of Biden’s home. A half-wall of gray stone and an expansive black iron gate stand proudly at the front of the property.

The genesis of the wall plans traces back to 2021 when DHS greenlit a contract to bolster security at the presidential retreat. However, the cost has skyrocketed to nearly $500,000, marking a $34,000 increase from the original Turnstone Holdings LCC contract price, as reported by Fox News Digital in August.

Biden’s pledge during the 2020 presidential campaign to halt all border wall construction echoes loudly. He assured the public that “not another foot” would be added if he secured the presidency. In his words, “There will not be another foot of wall construction in my administration. I will ensure robust border protection, focusing on leveraging advanced technology to address challenges. The crucial areas for this approach are the ports of entry, where illicit activities tend to occur.”

Following through on this promise, Biden put an end to all new border wall construction upon taking office in January 2021, urging Congress to cancel funding for such projects. Yet, the administration’s actions faced scrutiny when it quietly sanctioned the construction of a border wall section in Yuma, Arizona, in July 2022, responding to Sen. Mark Kelly’s plea to fortify the border.

In an unexpected twist, the administration took legal action against Arizona in December, filing a lawsuit over the state’s use of shipping containers to create a border wall and curb illegal immigration. The lawsuit argued that the state was trespassing on federal lands.

During his recent border visit in El Paso, Texas, Biden strategically sidestepped sections of the border wall either constructed or reinforced by former President Trump. Instead, he opted for a visit to an older, preexisting part of the wall.
