Snowball is a medium sulfur crested Eleanor cockatoo. This eleven-year-old bird is a “self-taught” dancer. He is a sanctuary bird at Bird Lovers Only Rescue Service, Inc., a non-profit parrot rescue and sanctuary located in northwest Indiana. You are going to be stunned when you see what he does every time a song he likes comes on the radio.
In this incredible video, his caretaker plays a track by Stevie Nicks and his reaction is just precious! Snowball is famous for his other dance videos as well, like the one where he dances to a medley of Michael Jackson songs. His sense of rhythm is impeccable and the way he changes his steps to match the music is amazing. He can even improvise his new dance moves according to what he is listening to!
Right around the 1:45 mark, Snowball gets really into the music and I am amazed at how he keeps rhythm with the beat of the music while bobbing up and down and raising his feet in time with the music. He moves across the back of a chair, which seems to be a favorite place for dancing.
Even the feathers on his head are a part of his dance. At certain points in the song, they stand straight up and he gets really excited and exaggerates every move. He’s hilarious to watch and adorable at the same time. This bird has no shortage of personality.
