My son’s only three. Out of nowhere, he started crying EVERY SINGLE TIME I took him to daycare. This had NEVER happened before. At first, I thought it was just a typical 3-year-old crisis, but something felt off. Johnny was crying, and he kept begging me not to take him. I promised him I’d pick him up early – luckily, I left work early and showed up at the daycare just in time for lunch. Parents aren’t usually allowed to go there, but I snuck in. And then I finally saw THE REASON my little boy had been crying! Gosh, I was absolutely LIVID and horrified!⁡

Johnny, a three-year-old, had been dreading daycare recently, throwing tantrums each morning. His mother, Marla, initially thought it was a phase, but his distress grew more concerning. One day, Johnny whispered that he didn’t want to go because of lunchtime. Marla, suspecting something was wrong, visited the daycare during lunch and witnessed a staff member force-feeding Johnny, causing him distress. Enraged, Marla confronted the caregiver and vowed to ensure it wouldn’t happen again. After speaking with the daycare director and closely monitoring Johnny’s interactions, his behavior improved. Marla learned the importance of respecting her child’s boundaries and listening to his feelings. This experience deepened her commitment to always pay attention to her son’s emotional needs.
