Team Trump Planning Huge Campaign of Illegal Immigrant Arrests Across US on “Day One”

The incoming Trump administration is reportedly planning to arrest illegal immigrants on “day one” after President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated.  Trump has long-campaigned on mass deportations, vowing to secure the open border that has allowed millions of illegal immigrants to enter the United States under the Biden administration.

Officials within the administration explained they are ready to “take the handcuffs off” of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  Demonstrating this, the administration is reportedly organizing a massive raid in Chicago on Tuesday, targeting illegal aliens with criminal backgrounds.  When asked about the reports, incoming border czar Tom Homan noted that ICE will be working nationwide on deportations.

Homan explained that Chicago isn’t the only city that will be targeted. “There’s going to be a big raid across the country. Chicago is just one of many places. We’ve got 24 field offices across the country. On Tuesday, ICE is finally going to go out and do their job. We’re going to take the handcuffs off ICE and let them go arrest criminal aliens, that’s what’s going to happen,” he said.

The border czar further explained that first identifying those who are a public safety threat is the main priority. “What we’re telling ICE, you’re going to enforce the immigration law without apology. You’re going to concentrate on the worst first, public safety threats first, but no one is off the table. If they’re in the country illegally, they got a problem,” he added.

Reportedly, the administration is expecting significant pushback from local Democratic leaders across the country who have vowed not to cooperate with President-elect Trump’s agenda.  The American Tribune reported on recent comments from Homan, that suggested he will not “be held up” by opposition to the mass deportation agenda.

During an interview with CBS host Margaret Brennan, Homan said, “Well, first of all, we have President Trump coming in the Oval Office and he’s proven during his first administration. His leadership on illegal immigration was the game-changer, because for instance, El Salvador wouldn’t take back MS-13 members when I was the ICE director.”

However, the former ICE director pointed out that Trump is very effective at achieving his policy goals.  “It took President Trump 48 hours to get El Salvador to take back their criminal aliens into their prisons. Mexico didn’t want to do the ‘Remain in Mexico’ program, but President Trump was able to get ‘Remain in Mexico’ established in Mexico. He was able to get Mexico [to] put military in the southern and northern border. President Trump’s a strong president,” he continued.

“This administration has not forced these countries to take them back and we have what we call a third safe country. We already have countries talking about taking back people from other countries. For instance Venezuela doesn’t take their people back. There’s other ways we can do it. There’s other countries [who’d] be willing to accept them,” he continued, building on this point.

Homan concluded, “We’re not gonna be held up on removing public safety threats in this country. We have to put the safety of the American people first. We’ve had too many young women murdered and raped and burned alive by members of Venezuelan gangs. They need to be a priority under this administration. It’s [going to] be a priority starting day one and they will be deported.”
